- Prepare home for sale
- Take professional photos
- Prepare Marketing Materials
- List home for sale and execute marketing plan
- Buyer showings and open houses
- Receive offer(s) and negotiate
- Satisfy Conditions (if any)
- Select Lawyer and prepare to move
- Finalize Sale!
The Rental Process
- Complete rental application
- Obtain credit report with score
- Obtain employment letter confirming your position and annual salary
- Complete paperwork
- Obtain any referral letters from current or past landlords (if applicable)
- Bank draft or certified cheque for first and last month's rent
- 10 post-dated cheques for remaining rent term
- Refundable key deposit (if applicable)
Buyer Incentives
Depending on your personal circumstances, you may be entitled to incentives, credits, and rebates offered by the provincial government that make it easier for you to afford your home. Your lawyer will take care of these rebates when handling your closing.
Keep in mind that a professional accountant should always be consulted on matters of taxation and rebates.
